It is now a legal requirement for patient to understand the risks of opioid based pain medication and their high abuse potential. Please read the following BEFORE taking the following type of medication following surgery:
Norco
Hydrocodone
Oxycodone
Morphine
Hydromorphone
or any other opiate based pain medication.
This handout will cover proper storage, disposal and use of these medications.
